Ulysses movie review~

>I finally finished downloading Saito Takumi's 2006 movie, Ulysses. It had a rather philosophical meaning to it, I think. Of what I could make sense of the movie anyway...Despite it being subbed, I still couldn't get many parts of the movie...I googled Ulysses and found out it was a 20th century novel, written by James Joyce and it is considered one of the best modern literature works of that time. It speaks of Odyessus and Penelope. I'm not sure of how much the movie is based on the novel, but the movie struck me as deeply thought provoking, leading us to question the value of life as the main character searches for the blue butterfly she associates with a little boy very close to her heart. On the way in her search, she encounters two guys, one which she falls in love with, as she relieves her childhood memories with him, which is incidentally is played by Saito Takumi.

>I have to say, Takumi is a great actor, I believe he has a lot of potential. He shows a relaxed, carefree yet blatantly naive character here unlike in Boys Love where he was always brooding and never believed in love. He has a lot of chemistry with his co-actors, and also the sole reason why I got into watching this movie in the first place. :D I have yet to understand the movie fully but I think I have to read the actual novel to understand it better...
Overall rating of Ulysses:2.5/5
>Okay, done with movie review...Takuya, you amaze me. 0_o GAWD.
