>Another teacher-student drama? Oh no, not another Gokusen rip-off. I mean how many times can you watch a noisy, unbehaved class run around with weapons and trying to scare their teachers out of their wits? Well, this is not the case in Seito Shokun.>I love the realistic approach Seito Shokun takes towards education in school nowdays. I mean, it isn't realistic to have mere high school students going on drugs and all that rubbish, isn't it? Instead, Seito Shokun targets the student's every day to day problems, oh well not exactly, you have a kid whose money gets exorted by his former friends, a kid who's traumatised by a bad mountain climbling trip, a girl who's sucidal and many other examples. Well, basically, Seito Shokun! is about students who do not trust teachers, teachers who give up faith in education, parents who blame schools for their children's misbehavior... Naoko was at a loss when she was assigned as a new high school teacher. Times have changed and students are no longer easy to control, but she chose not to look away. Instead, Naoko reaches out to try and discover the various issues hidden in the modern education system.
>Uchiyama Rina's acting is okay but I think the kids acting were great. Especially Horikita Maki's acting as a sucicidal kid with problems. She deserves an adward for that, really. And Hongo as her loyal follower aka admirer is also very cute~ ^^ Shirota Yuu's acting as a dork like always. But a lovable one.XD. And Ryuya, my newfound "crush" from this series is just pure LOVE. :DD
>I just finished episode 10 of Seito Shokun and I had to admit that it really touched me. I loved how the kids all showed their vulnerable sides of themselves as they begged their beloved teacher not to go. Definitely ten times more touching then Gokusen. :D
>Rating: 4/5 (Make time for it!! ^^)
